After 8 thrilling years of motorsport action and a proud legacy of family stewardship, the TA2 Muscle Car Series and PBR Distributions is entering an exciting new chapter. The series has been acquired by a consortium of competitors who share a deep passion for the series and a commitment to its future growth and expansion.
The consortium, comprised of competitors Mark Crutcher, Paul Hadley and Graham Cheney bring a wealth of experience in business, motorsport and innovation and have a shared vision for advancing the series.
This unique approach to ownership ensures that the series will remain true to its roots while leveraging collective expertise to elevate the competition and fan experience, an aspect that current series Owner and Founder Peter Robinson said was central to the decision of the sale.
“The TA2 Muscle Car Series started out many years ago as a passion project for myself and some racing friends but has quickly grown into two National Series, a West Coast Series and a New Zealand Series, however we have never forgotten our core goal which was to provide drivers a cost effective, high horsepower, rear wheel drive big bang for buck experience,” said Robinson.
“With over 100 cars sold, this has now become a big business and the time is right to hand the baton to a group of individuals that I trust implicitly, and I know have both the desire and resources to further grow and develop the TA2 Muscle Car Series bigger than what I ever could.”
“This series has been our family’s pride and joy for the last 8 years, and we’re thrilled to pass the torch to a group of people who know this sport inside and out, share the passion and who are dedicated to seeing it thrive for years to come.”
One of the front running competitors in the TA2 Muscle Car Series, Mark Crutcher said that when the opportunity presented itself to take over the series, it didn’t take long to find the right partners willing to commit to taking it to the next level.
“Our series is full of passionate and loyal competitors, many who have been there from day one and we’re all so grateful to the Robinsons for what they have created and feel privileged to be chosen as the group to lead it into the future,” said Crutcher.
“Our collective goal is to continue providing great service to our customers through the PBR Distributions business which has also been acquired, and to further enhance our position in the motorsport landscape.”
“Racing is our life, and the TA2 Muscle Car Series is our home so we’re excited to bring fresh energy and ideas while honouring the incredible foundation built by Pete and his family.”
As the series gears up for its next season, exciting announcements about the 2025 calendar, race formats, and partnerships are expected in the coming weeks. |
