Out of Adelaide, he debuted at the Tailem Bend round in his brand-new Mustang and immediately was on the pace taking out the Circo Master class and 6th outright in his first TA2 appearance. Dean should be used to high horsepower muscle cars. He hustled a Dodge Viper V10 back in 2006 in the Australian GT Championship, and before that raced Formula Ford and V8 Supercars, sharing the Ultratune Commodore with Melinda Price at the Sandown 500 and Bathurst 1000.
