Russell Wright

Yep, we can call Russell a veteran without offending him. He was the 2017 inaugural TA2 National Champion and this former Carrera Cup racer was one of the first to witness the potential of TA2 and dive in the deep end. He is still well and truly on the pace; he is harder on himself than the car if all doesn’t go to plan and along with daughter Wendy doing the radio calls this team is always a chance for the chequer. After winning 3 out of the 4 races at the Queensland Raceway round, Russell decided to go out on a high but over the years he has had more comebacks than John Farnham, so it’s not surprising he has saddled up again in the Crew Commercial Mustang for 2024 and back challenging for podiums.
