Pete was a late bloomer when it came to hitting the tarmac. Speedway was his motorsport hit when growing up in New Zealand, however when he and wife Moana moved to Australia, the focus was on developing their very successful hydraulic servicing business . After selling out a number of years ago, Pete hit the bitumen for the first time racing an Oz Truck in 2013/14 and loved the sport so much he decided to invest more. The TA2 Muscle Car Series is his concept, purely designed as a low cost, big bang for buck motorsport experience that all the family can be involved in. Working with renowned race car builder Chas Howe in the USA, Pete designed the TA2 Australian spec race car and has been the driving force behind the growth of the series and sale of over 40 cars in Australia in the past 3 years. As long as it stays fun, Pete is in for the long term and Australian motor sport is much better off for his and Mo’s involvement.
