Hayden won two junior club Qld karting titles before the Tarragindi born rev head moved into the Toyota 86 series as a 16-year-old in 2021. He stepped up to TA2 this year in the Total Parts Dodge Challenger and has been a regular top 5 competitor, splitting his competition year between the TA2 Muscle Car Series and the Toyota 86 series. The 18 year old is also a frontrunner for the Racetech Rookie of the Year Award, which offers a Racetech simulator seat and chassis worth $2,000 to the overall winner.
